THINGS TO CONSIDER

Whether or not DIY Solar is for you. If you:

• Would like to keep costs down and avoid taking out a loan
• Like the idea of being able to scale the project gradually, staring out small and simple
• Want to be able to generate power when the grid goes down, or have a modest battery backup
• Have always been curious, and want to learn more about solar power and are a bit of a DIY (handy) sort
• Think you may be moving, but don't want to wait
• Are renting and want to be able to take your solution with you

Then, DIY solar may be right for you!

Whether or not DIY Solar is for you. If you:

• Are planning on selling and want solar as a selling point (investment in the property)
• Are living in a complex with an HOA and the only parts of your roof where panels can be installed are visible to everyone
• Have plenty of money and not much time, or both
• Don't have a yard that gets plenty of sun and you aren't comfortable going up on a ladder

Then, having it professionally installed may be the right choice for you.
